Third Place!

Add another shelf to the trophy wall--I got me another medal! My TO dragon boat team, the JETAA Toronto Fighting Carps performed beautifully today with a bronze-medal standing in the "K" division of the Great White North dragon boat challenge. Started merely 8 weeks ago as a hodge-podge group of ex-JET teachers (and friends), we were a group of newbies, some who had never been in a boat before. But due to some extreme enthusiasm and, what the Japanese call "genkiness", we were committed and determined, and walked away with a little bit of hardware today. Yay Carps!
